Harnessing AI for Crypto Trading: A Beginner's Journey
Exploring AI in Crypto Trading
Good afternoon, my degenerate crypto friends. I wanted to share something I've been working on. I must admit, I have no idea how to trade crypto or anything else. I only know the basics, if that. However, for the past six to eight months, I've been experimenting with AI. I installed ChatGPT Codex on my computer and started building applications. It's amazing how AI can handle everything. If you're not using AI, you're missing out. I've built numerous applications, and it's become an addiction. AI simplifies the process by laying out the code, downloading necessary files, and running Python scripts. It's incredible.
I decided to try creating an AI trader to see if it could trade for me. I don't have any significant results yet, but I wanted to show you what I've done. You can install ChatGPT or Claude, or any programming tool, for about $20 a month. You can also use local AI on your computer. I'm using ChatGPT because it's probably the best and most updated. However, open-source AI is improving rapidly and will likely be very good soon.
Developing an AI Trader for Pump.f Fun Launches
My goal was to build a trader focused on Pump.f Fun launches. If you're not familiar, most coins from Pump.f Fun eventually go to zero. It's just a matter of when—within an hour, a day, or a week. I haven't checked Pump.f Fun in a while, but I see a feed without any tokens. Some tokens graduate after enough trades and a high enough price. I created a trader to manage my Solana wallet and make trades. So far, I'm only doing fake trades, not using real money. The AI places €20 bets and tests various strategies, like taking profit at a certain percentage or using stop-loss and trailing stop strategies.
I've tested about 30 strategies. The initial setup took some time, but now I just try new strategies daily. AI generates new strategies and conducts fake trading. If a strategy performs poorly after 100 trades, I discard it. If it reaches 200 trades and is profitable, it might be worth considering. I don't know if it's worth the time, but I find it fun. I've had about 30 failed strategies. Some look promising for a day but then crash. I don't know much about trading, but AI does most of the work. Sometimes AI makes mistakes, so it's good to interact with it to improve results.
Testing Strategies and Future Plans
One strategy, "Late Survivor," has been in the red for three out of four days, but the green day was significant. Another strategy, "Buyer Retention," is new and only slightly profitable. The "Survival Strategy" ignores early launch battles and enters after 10 minutes of activity. "Buyer Retention" requires early buyers to return while new buyers arrive. I recently added "Evening Survivor" because most income came in the evening. "Volume Ignition" enters when turnover expands sharply, and demand is distributed across several wallets. The AI tests various scenarios with fake money. If a strategy consistently profits, I'll use real money with a Solana wallet. So far, I haven't found a consistently successful strategy. Some strategies perform well for a day but then fail.
I'm connecting for free through Solana RPC, without spending money. There's a service called Helas I considered paying for, but this setup works for now. I'm sure some people know what they're doing, but that's not me. It's still fun, and AI can build many useful things. I've used AI to manage social media videos and other work tasks, saving me time. That's all I wanted to share. You can use AI for anything, including crypto, and it's a lot of fun. I'll see you in the next video.
